This course introduces students to the legal, institutional, and regulatory framework of the Jamaican sugar industry. Students will explore the history of sugar in Jamaica, the role of the Sugar Industry Authority and related bodies, the policies that govern production and trade, and the responsibilities of stakeholders across the value chain.
